About Us
CAN's community-based program is built upon the values of independence, respect, community integration, and resilience. It focuses on immersive community engagement and meaningful peer interactions, offering tailored support for participants with significant communication and social challenges.
With a participant-to-staff ratio of 3:1, CAN ensures personalized attention, unlike larger organizations with fewer staff. This enables the development of activities that maximize each participant's strengths and foster daily community integration, allowing individuals to thrive.

Our community-based approach is unique. While most programs for adults in the I/DD community focus on center-based activities and offer community outings once a week or a few times a month, CAN ensures that every session incorporates a community outing.

We are FRIENDS!

At CAN, equality is at the forefront. Everyone is seen as a FRIEND to one another. While there are trained program leaders and assistants to facilitate the day, it is the participants who truly take charge. This is not an educational or training program; instead, CAN’s participants are collaborating adults...just like friends!

CAN Highlights ABILITIES!

Perhaps one individual may find it challenging to pack 160 meals for families, but collectively, we CAN! CAN emphasizes the strengths of our participants, enabling them to achieve greater accomplishments together.

CAN Strengthens the COMMUNITY!

CAN partners with over 15 nonprofits, donating over 1800 community service hours annually. When contributing to CAN, you are benefiting our community as a whole.
